Unitron are a Canadian hearing aid manufacturer working in over 70 countries across the globe. They have so far dedicated over 50 years developing relationships with hearing aid providers and people with hearing loss in order to provide the best hearing care experience possible.

Knowing that each individual's hearing loss is unique, Unitron have developed hearing aids solutions that allow audiologists to gather more data about your hearing as you first begin to wear them, allowing you to have an easier listening experience with more control over your hearing as this data is seamlessly incorporated into your hearing aid to program tweaks and improvements.

What Unitron hearing aids can do

Unitron's newest platform, Tempus, helps hearing in some of the most challenging listening environments, such as conversations in noise and crowds.  Intelligent Tempus technology allows you to make the best out of all conversations by automatically making fluid adjustments to the environment you're in so you can stay actively engaged in conversations with much less effort.

Unitron SoundCore

SoundCore is made up of a group of four features which work together in conversations and noisy environments to allow you to get things right the first time.

SoundNav is a feature which automatically identifies the sound around you and categorizes it as one of seven different environments: Noise, Quiet, Conversation in Quiet, Conversation in a Small Group, Conversation in a Crowd, Conversation in Noise, and Music. By having more environment settings, it is easier for you to hear as your hearing aid adjusts according to background noise from conversation to conversation.

Sound Conductor maintains a more natural sound quality throughout the day. It focuses on balancing noise in different environments. When there is speech, the listening goal is conversations. When there is no speech, the listening goal is comfort with awareness and limiting distractions by extreme levels of ambient noise. When there is music, the listening goal is to enjoy the music quality without any distortion.

The final features of SoundCore that compliment each other well are SpeechPro and Spatial Awareness. With SpeechPro, understanding is enhanced through localization from all different directions, even in the most challenging listening situations. Spatial Awareness helps more with understanding which direction the sound is actually coming from. The more you wear your hearing aid, the easier this is to adapt and get used to.

Steps to better hearing

Learn about Hearing Loss

There are many different causes of hearing loss. It could be due to an underlying medical reason, long-term exposure to loud noises, an unexpected sudden loss, or simply just an extremely common age-related loss that becomes noticeable over time. Learning more about hearing loss may help you to better understand how it is affecting you.
